Tipton adds discounted rates for expat and limited company landlords

Published on

Tipton & Coseley Building Society has expanded its variable rate buy-to-let mortgage range with two discounted products aimed at expatriate and limited company landlords.

The mutual has introduced a three-year discounted rate of 5.29% for expat buy-to-let purchases at up to 70% loan-to-value (LTV), carrying a £1,500 arrangement fee.

A second product, designed for limited company borrowers, offers a two-year discounted rate of 5.29% at the same maximum LTV, with an arrangement fee of £1,499.

The additions broaden the society’s offering for landlords seeking alternatives to fixed rate borrowing.

Tipton’s existing fixed rate range remains available, with expat buy-to-let purchase rates starting at 5.14% and limited company buy-to-let rates beginning at 5.89%.

The limited company products are available to UK-based applicants and expatriates living overseas who hold a UK passport.

For its expat buy-to-let range, the society accepts applications from borrowers resident in countries approved by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Neither the standard nor expat buy-to-let propositions carry a minimum income requirement.

Tipton also offers remortgage options for expatriate and limited company landlords. These include a free standard valuation for properties worth up to £400,000, or a £350 valuation contribution for higher-value properties.

Borrowers can also receive £250 cashback towards legal costs.
