‘The Godfather’ joins Mortgage’s Got Talent judging panel

Published on

John ‘The Godfather’ Malone has been recruited as a judge for Mortgage’s Got Talent, bringing one of the mortgage industry’s best-known names to the event.

Malone (main picture, inset) will cast his eye over contestants at the talent showcase organised by Kevin Duffy, managing director of Mortgageforce.

His appointment adds a familiar industry personality to the judging panel, with Duffy comparing Malone’s influence on the mortgage market to Simon Cowell’s role in British entertainment.

THE GODFATHER

Malone’s career has spanned mortgage lending, insurance, pensions and estate agency. He helped shape the intermediary market through his work at Premier Mortgage Service (PMS), developing its proposition for directly authorised advisers.

Duffy said: “In his pomp, John was to the mortgage industry what Simon Cowell has been to UK light entertainment. We look forward to his robust and erudite judging of our contestants.”

Malone said: “To be part of Mortgage Force’s innovative and creative experience within the mortgage industry is an opportunity I welcome and look forward to be part of.”

Mortgage Soup revealed yesterday how industry PR guru Debbie Staveley is the latest name to join the line-up for Mortgage’s Got Talent 2026 – and she’ll be swapping press releases for the saxophone.

INDUSTRY SUPPORT ALREADY BUILDING
