Vic Jannels takes on non-executive chair role at BDLA

Vic Jannels has been appointed non-executive chair of the Bridging & Development Lenders Association, maintaining a formal role with the trade body after stepping down as chief executive earlier this year.

Jannels (pictured) stepped down from his position as chief executive following the appointment of Adam Tyler at the start of the year.

The newly created non-executive chair role will see him remain closely involved with the association, providing strategic support and continuity as it enters what it describes as its next phase of growth.

During six years as chief executive, Jannels oversaw a period of expansion in membership and worked to strengthen the association’s engagement with regulators and policymakers. He also focused on raising standards across the bridging and development finance sector.

Commenting on his appointment, Jannels said: “The BDLA is in excellent hands and I am confident that Adam will take the association to new levels of influence and engagement across the sector.

“With a strong pipeline of initiatives already underway and further opportunities ahead, I’m delighted to continue supporting the BDLA as it builds on its momentum and continues to grow.”

Tyler added: “Vic’s contribution to the BDLA and the wider industry has been significant.

“His experience, insight and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow the association, develop new initiatives for members and further strengthen our role as the voice of the bridging and development lending sector.

“I’m very pleased he will remain closely involved as non-executive chair.”
