Together strengthens board with new NED appointment

Together has appointed Andy Higginson as a non-executive director to its board, with effect from 15 September.

Higginson brings more than three decades of board-level experience across some of Britain’s largest consumer businesses, including Tesco, Wm Morrison, Sky, the NBrown Group and JD Sports, where he is currently chair.

Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years as group finance director of Tesco, during which time he also chaired Tesco Bank. He has also held senior finance roles at the Burton Group and Laura Ashley Holdings.

Mike McTighe, chairman of Together, said the appointment would strengthen the group’s leadership as it sought to build on its past success. “We are delighted to welcome Andy as a valuable addition to the group board at Together.

“His wealth of experience in chair and non-executive director roles across a wide range of organisations will supplement the skills and experience of our board as the group continues to build on its past success and grows towards an exciting future,” he said.

Commenting on his new role, Higginson said: “I am delighted to join the group board of Together at such an exciting phase of its journey as it builds on its 50 years of success to help more customers realise their property ambitions.”

Together Financial Services, which describes itself as one of the UK’s leading non-bank relationship lenders, has been active in specialist finance for five decades and is continuing to expand its reach in property lending markets.
