Family Building Society has appointed Paul Ormonde as a business development manager covering Central London.

Ormonde (main picture) joins from Quantum Mortgages, where he was involved in the specialist lender’s launch in 2022.

He began his career in estate agency at 19 before moving into mortgages around 10 years later. In 2004, he joined The Mortgage Times Group, before subsequently returning to estate agency with Knight Frank.

Ormonde has also held roles at the State Bank of India and Foundation Home Loans. He spent four years at Foundation before joining Quantum, where he was involved in three securitisations over three years worth more than £850 million.

Ormonde said: “When I was approached by Darren Deacon and his colleagues, I was aware of the Family’s growing reputation among brokers and for its innovative track record in the lending market.

“On hearing of the Society’s exciting growth plans, I immediately warmed to the prospect of a new challenge and am delighted to have to have joined a multi-award winning team.”
