The Mortgage Brain targets £12m turnover after 21% rise

The Mortgage Brain has reported turnover of just over £8 million for the financial year ending June 2026, an increase of more than 21% from its previous record.

The mortgage broker recorded turnover of £6.6 million in 2025, meaning revenue increased by £1.4 million in the space of a year.

The company said it was also on course to arrange mortgages worth £1.5 billion during 2026 and had set a target of reaching £12 million in turnover by June 2028.

Enzo Mora, chief executive and founder of The Mortgage Brain, said: “We are delighted with the progress the business has made over the past year.

“Increasing our turnover by over 20% in one year is a significant achievement and due to a deliberate change in strategy for our Protection and General Insurance divisions.

“Previously, our mortgage brokers were responsible for mortgages, protection and home insurance.

“We have moved to a specialist model under which our mortgage brokers concentrate on mortgage advice and performance, while dedicated teams focus on the other areas.

“We now have an 18-strong team of Protection Specialists and eight General Insurance advisers. This greater specialisation has strengthened the experience and advice we provide, improved client outcomes and driven the substantial growth in our protection and general insurance income.

“Our focus is now on building on that momentum. We’re on track to arrange £1.5bn worth of mortgages in 2026.

“Given the significant economic and geopolitical uncertainty throughout the year, I see maintaining this level of mortgage lending as a very positive performance within our sector. It demonstrates that our core mortgage business remains strong.

“We’ve set ourselves the target of reaching £12 million in turnover by June 2028.”

Last year, The Mortgage Brain announced a partnership with BetterHome Group, South Africa’s largest mortgage broker, to support its five-year growth plan and expand its digital offering.
