Stent to take over as MAB finance chief as Imlach leaves board

Published on

Mortgage Advice Bureau has confirmed Jo Stent will become group chief financial officer and join its board from 1 October.

Stent’s appointment follows her arrival at MAB as group chief financial officer designate on 6 July, since when she has been working alongside outgoing finance chief Emilie McCarthy on the handover.

McCarthy will step down as group chief financial officer and as an executive director on 30 September, leaving the business on the same date.

Stent’s appointment to certain positions within MAB’s regulated businesses remains subject to FCA approval.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Stent (pictured) was previously a director of AIM-listed Frontier IP Group, serving from April 2024 until May 2026.

She also held a directorship at Argentex Group between February 2021 and November 2023.

MAB said there were no further matters relating to Stent that required disclosure under the UK Listing Rules.

IMLACH STEPS DOWN

The group has also announced that Nathan Imlach will leave the board as a non-executive director with effect from 30 September.

His departure means he will also cease to be a member of MAB’s nomination committee on the same date.

Michael Jones, chair of MAB, said: “Nathan has made a significant contribution to the board over many years, and we are grateful for his experience, insight and support.”
