Source Insurance has appointed Simon Thomas as managing director as the business targets further growth across the intermediary market.

Thomas brings more than 30 years’ experience across underwriting, broking and senior insurance leadership and has previously worked at Source.

He will continue in his existing role as managing director of Protect Commercial alongside his new position.

Thomas will work with the Source board to develop new opportunities, expand its network of provider partners and strengthen its home and landlord proposition.

GROWTH PLANS

The business also plans to explore new markets and develop its range of solutions for advisers as it looks to build momentum into 2027.

Thomas said: “I’m joining Source at an important stage in its development, with a real opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth. We have a strong understanding of advisers and the challenges they face and that insight will remain central to how we evolve the business.

“Our strategy is focused on building the right partnerships and developing the right panels around those needs, bringing together the breadth, quality and depth of products and solutions that enable advisers to place more business and deliver the right outcomes for their clients.

“There is significant opportunity across the intermediary market and I’m looking forward to working closely with our adviser and provider partners to strengthen our proposition and ensure we continue to anticipate and respond to where the market is heading.”

MARKET EXPERIENCE

Louise Watkins, director of operations and marketing at Source Insurance, added: “We’re excited to welcome Simon to the team.

“We know that Simon’s market experience is going to be invaluable in steering us to achieve our growth objectives and pushing in to 2027 with real energy.”
