Halifax Intermediaries is introducing discounted mortgage products for eligible Club Lloyds customers, giving brokers access to rates previously available through the lender’s direct channel.
The new Loyalty Club range will be available from 22 October for first-time buyers and home movers, with the discounts applying to qualifying purchase applications.
The move brings the intermediary offering into line with the discounts available to customers applying directly, ahead of the planned launch of Lloyds Intermediaries in 2027.
To qualify, at least one applicant must hold a Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver or Club Lloyds Platinum current account. There is no minimum income requirement, and borrowers can open or upgrade to an eligible account before selecting a mortgage from the range.
PURCHASE APPLICATIONS ONLY
The new products will be available for standard purchases, including New Build Extended and Affordable Housing applications, but will not cover remortgages, further advances or product transfers.
They will sit alongside Halifax’s existing Loyalty Premier range, which is available to customers holding a qualifying Lloyds Premier current account.
Unlike the new Club products, Loyalty Premier mortgages can be used for purchases, remortgages, product transfers and further advances.
For purchase and remortgage applications under the Premier range, at least one applicant must earn £100,000 or more. There is no minimum income requirement for product transfers or further advances.
Halifax is introducing separate identifiers to help brokers distinguish between the two ranges. Loyalty Club products will carry a “Club” icon in the lender’s Product Search tool and Products Guide, while Loyalty Premier mortgages will be marked “Premier”.
Both ranges will also appear on brokers’ usual mortgage sourcing platforms.
Where applicants qualify for both Club and Premier products, the Premier range will initially be displayed because it offers a larger discount. Brokers will still be able to consider Club products for eligible joint applications.
INTERMEDIARY DISTRIBUTION
Leigh Church, acting head of Halifax Intermediaries, said: “Brokers play a significant role in helping customers navigate the mortgage market and find a mortgage that meets their circumstances. We want to give them more choice when they are helping customers buying a home.
“By making our new Loyalty Club mortgage products available through Halifax Intermediaries, eligible Club Lloyds customers can access the discount whether they choose to arrange their mortgage through a broker or come to us directly.
“It’s another step in how we’re developing our intermediary proposition and fulfilling our commitment to the broker market as we move towards the launch of Lloyds Intermediaries in 2027.”
