Rely uses AVM to deliver immediate offer on landlord remortgage

Published on

Rely has issued an instant mortgage offer for a landlord remortgaging a single buy-to-let property after the case qualified for an automated valuation.

The specialist buy-to-let lender, part of OSB Group, worked with Premier Finance & Mortgages on the case, which involved a client seeking to move away from a standard variable rate and complete the refinancing quickly.

The borrower was an owner-occupier with one buy-to-let property, a strong credit profile and borrowing of around 65% loan-to-value. The client was also a higher-rate taxpayer.

Rely said its lending platform identified that the property met its criteria for an automated valuation model, allowing the application to proceed directly to offer once the required fees had been paid.

The remortgage subsequently completed four weeks later.

Adrian Moloney (pictured), group lending distribution director at Rely, said: “We’re focused on making it easier for brokers to place business with us, and this case highlightshow Rely’s lending platform can help deliver a quick, simple and efficient experience for both brokers and their clients.

“By combining technology with specialist lending expertise, we’re helping brokers secure positive outcomes for their clients while reducing administration and improving the experience for everyone involved.”

Pani Liondaris, senior mortgage manager at Premier Finance & Mortgages, said: “The client and I were both extremely pleased with the speed of the offer.

“The client was on an SVR rate and wanted to complete as soon as possible, so receiving an offer so quickly was a real benefit.”
