Openwork adds Uinsure to general insurance panel

Published on

The Openwork Partnership has appointed Uinsure to its general insurance panel, giving advisers a second provider alongside Paymentshield.

The addition forms part of a wider review of Openwork’s general insurance proposition, with the network seeking to broaden the range of products available to its advisers and their clients.

Uinsure was selected following Openwork’s review of its insurer panel, products and service proposition. Its appointment means advisers within the network can now place general insurance business through either Uinsure or Paymentshield.

Uinsure’s insurer panel includes Lloyds Bank General Insurance, which is available exclusively through Uinsure in the mortgage intermediary market.

The provider offers buildings, contents and landlord insurance products carrying five-star Defaqto ratings. It also operates a referral team for non-standard and specialist cases.

Paul Shearman (pictured), mortgage & protection proposition director at The Openwork Partnership, said: “General Insurance is an important part of helping clients protect what matters most, and we want to make it as easy as possible for advisers to have those conversations.

“Adding Uinsure brings another high-quality provider into our offering, helping advisers place more cases and meet a wider range of client needs.

“As the market continues to evolve, we remain focused on ensuring our proposition evolves with it. Together, Uinsure and Paymentshield provide advisers with access to a strong combination of technology, expertise and insurance solutions, helping them deliver holistic advice and positive outcomes for clients.”

Lauren Bagley, chief distribution officer at Uinsure, added: “Our technology is built around making home insurance as simple as possible for advisers and their clients.

“Our three-question quote has been doing exactly that for some time now, and Openwork advisers can arrange standard and non-standard cover in one place with us, either quoting it themselves or referring it to our team, so every client can be looked after without leaving the platform.

“Openwork’s network is one of the most respected in the market, and we’re delighted to be working with its advisers.

“We share a focus on making advice easier and more complete for clients, and we’re looking forward to helping Openwork firms make insurance a natural part of every mortgage conversation.”
