Network strikes pension advice deal

MD Pensions is to provide advice to clients of the 190 AR firms with HomeLoan Partnership (HLP).

The new relationship will enable advisers to refer clients for advice on both pension transfers and new arrangements. Business arising from the referral will be shared with the introducing AR firm.

Chris Tanner, managing director of HLP, said that adding a pension facility to the range of ancillary services for brokers, helps to bridge the gap between specialising in mortgages and protection and offering a full financial planning service to clients.

He said: “Our ARs are continually coming across clients who need advice and have not been able to help or have run the risk of losing a client when referring them to a suitably qualified source. Pensions advice is a very complex area where most people need help and we have confidence that MD Pensions Solutions have the expertise
