Mortgage Brain has integrated Paymentshield into CRM Brain, allowing brokers to introduce home insurance during the mortgage application process without moving between separate systems.
Once a mortgage application has been submitted through CRM Brain, advisers are prompted to ask clients whether they would like help arranging home insurance.
Customer information already recorded within CRM Brain can then be transferred through Paymentshield’s API integration, reducing the need for brokers to rekey details or log into another platform.
The firms said the integration is intended to make general insurance discussions easier to incorporate into the mortgage process, while giving brokers an additional opportunity to generate revenue from existing clients.
INSURANCE WITHIN THE MORTGAGE WORKFLOW
The home insurance option is presented after the mortgage application has been completed, enabling advisers to raise cover while the client is already engaged in the wider property purchase process.
Mortgage Brain said the development forms part of its wider programme of updates to CRM Brain, with further integrations and automation planned.
Neil Wyatt (pictured), chief commercial officer at Mortgage Brain, said: “Adding Paymentshield to CRM Brain is another step in our ongoing programme of updates, and it directly reflects what brokers have told us they need.
“By bringing home insurance quoting and referral into the platform, brokers can support clients at the point it matters most, without ever leaving the system they’re already working in.
“It’s a quicker journey for brokers, a smoother experience for their clients, and a new revenue opportunity too. We’ll keep working with our partners to find more ways to bring this kind of integration and automation across CRM Brain.”
Nasar Hussain, associate director intermediated household at Paymentshield, added: “This integration is a positive step in helping brokers access home insurance quoting more easily within their existing workflow.
“By bringing together CRM Brain and Paymentshield, we’re helping to simplify the process for advisers and support a smoother experience for their clients.”
