L&C strengthens senior team with partnerships and technology hires

L&C Mortgages has expanded its senior leadership team with the appointment of Rachael Hunnisett and Kristina Porter to roles covering partnerships, communications, transformation and technology.

Hunnisett (pictured, left) joins the mortgage and protection broker as director of partnerships and communications, while Porter has been appointed chief transformation and technology officer.

The appointments come as L&C looks to develop its partnership proposition and progress a wider programme of technology and operational change.

PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY

Hunnisett was most recently director of mortgage distribution at April Mortgages and has previously worked across both the mortgage lending and advice sectors.

At L&C, she will be responsible for developing existing commercial partnerships and identifying further opportunities to broaden the broker’s customer reach. Her remit will also include contributing to the company’s communications and public relations strategy.

Hunnisett said: “I am delighted to be joining the team. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining L&C, with a huge amount of opportunity ahead. I’m passionate about building strong partnerships, bringing teams together around shared goals and, ultimately, making sure what we do delivers real value for both our customers and the business.

“I’m very much looking forward to building on the existing strengths of the business and driving forward the next phase of growth”

TRANSFORMATION REMIT

Porter (pictured, right) will lead enterprise-wide transformation at L&C and oversee the alignment of technology with the broker’s growth strategy.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in technology, operating model and business transformation roles. Porter was most recently transformation director at Worldpay, where she led a global portfolio of strategic initiatives, and has previously held senior transformation positions at Sky and Simplyhealth.

Her previous work has included digital transformation, operating model redesign, scaled agile delivery and enterprise-wide portfolio governance.

Porter said: “I’m thrilled to join the L&C team and be a part of the exciting growth trajectory that the business is targeting. I’m looking forward to building on all the good work that’s already underway, as we look to underline L&C’s position as the UK’s favourite mortgage partner.

“I was particularly attracted by L&C’s commitment to putting its people at the heart of its transformation. My passion is in using technology and data to drive better customer experiences, improve productivity, and unlock growth.

“The focus on colleagues and customers will not only allow technology to power the business forward but also ensure that the change is managed and seamless.”

Mark Harrington, chief executive officer at L&C Mortgages, said: “I’m excited to announce the addition of Rachael and Kristina to the L&C team. L&C is at an important stage in its growth and transformation, and their experience will be key to helping shape the next phase of our development.”

He added: “Rachael’s focus on not only strengthening our existing partnerships but also driving new opportunities and Kristina’s experience in managing transformation across a broad range of businesses will be invaluable, as L&C takes the next stride forward.

“The addition of Rachael and Kristina to the team will help L&C achieve its goal of continuing to lead the way in delivering great value mortgage advice and service to our customers.”
