Lenders cutting rates despite swap levels: Boulger

A decoupling in the relationship between mortgage rates and swap rates is partially behind recent cuts from lenders.

This is the view of Ray Boulger from John Charcol.

Boulger said: With Yorkshire Building Society announcing cuts across the board in its fixed rates, they become the latest lender to cut rates despite a static bank rate and swap rates at the top end of their recent trading range.
