FSA appoints senior adviser

The FSA has announced the appointment of John Sutherland as a senior adviser on the building society sector.

He has more than 36 years experience in retail banking, including senior roles at the Nationwide Building Society and most recently as CEO of the Stroud and Swindon Building Society.

Hector Sants, FSA CEO, said: “John brings to his role considerable experience of the retail banking sector which will be vital in our work in this area.
