Mortgage technology provider Fluxifi has entered into an exclusive partnership with Hackford to identify and engage directly authorised advice firms across the UK.
The agreement will give Fluxifi access to Hackford’s regulatory intelligence and AI-powered search capabilities as it seeks to expand the distribution of its adviser platform.
Initially, the company will concentrate on established and newly directly authorised mortgage firms, before extending its approach to appointed representative businesses.
Hackford’s analysis identifies more than 4,700 firms with active Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) status and permissions covering mortgage advice or arranging. Of these, 88 received their first authorisation during the past 12 months.
Fluxifi’s platform combines client and case management, document processing and the preparation of draft suitability reports. It is designed for advisers operating in residential mortgages, buy-to-let, protection, bridging and development finance.
The system extracts information from documents including payslips and bank statements, combining it with fact-find data to produce draft suitability reports. Advisers retain responsibility for reviewing and signing off the reports.
AI-POWERED FIRM INTELLIGENCE
As part of the partnership, Fluxifi is adopting Hackford’s recently introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection, which is currently in beta testing.
The technology enables AI agents, including Claude, to interrogate regulated-firm data using natural-language queries. Fluxifi can, for example, search for businesses authorised within the previous six months and examine their regulatory profiles.
The arrangement is intended to help Fluxifi identify prospective customers based on their authorisation status, business characteristics and potential technology requirements.
It comes amid an increase in mortgage search activity. According to Twenty7tec, searches conducted through its platform rose from approximately 1.56 million in August to 1.91 million in September, an increase of 23%, with remortgaging accounting for much of the growth.
The increase provides a backdrop for Fluxifi’s efforts to reduce the administrative work involved in processing mortgage and specialist finance cases.
Theo Athienitis, founder and chief executive of Fluxifi, said: “I worked as a mortgage adviser before building Fluxifi, and too much of the job was re-keying the same information and writing up cases after the advice had been given. Fluxifi is built to give advisers that time back.
“Hackford gives us a clear view of the firms we’re building for, particularly newly authorised firms choosing their systems for the first time, and Dan has been a brilliant partner, acting on our feedback within days.”
Dan Robinson, founder and chief executive of Hackford, said: “We’re proud to be working with Theo and the team at Fluxifi to help them reach advice firms across the UK.
“It’s exciting to build alongside them and draw on Theo’s industry experience and insightful ideas to improve Hackford’s features and data.”
