Finova appoints former Kensington chief to board

Finova has appointed former Kensington Mortgages chief executive Mark Arnold as a non-executive director as the mortgage technology provider continues to invest in its lending, savings and broker platforms.

Arnold (pictured) joins Finova with more than 26 years of senior leadership and board-level experience in financial services, covering mortgages, banking, business transformation and growth.

He most recently served as head of savings and mortgages at Barclays UK, having previously spent almost seven years as chief executive of Kensington Mortgages.

Arnold has also held chief executive positions at GE Capital across Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia.

Finova said Arnold would provide strategic input and independent oversight as the company pursues its longer-term growth plans and invests in AI-driven technology across its broker, lending and savings operations.

The company said it has £50 billion of loans and savings under management and powers one in five mortgages.

Arnold said: “I’m delighted to join Finova at such an exciting stage in its development.

“With £50 billion in loans and savings under management and powering one in five mortgages, Finova has established a significant position across the UK financial services market, with the scale, technology and insight to play an important role in shaping its future.

“I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team, bringing my experience of financial services, transformation and growth to support Finova’s strategic ambitions.

“Above all, I’m excited to help ensure the business continues to translate innovation into meaningful value for its clients and better outcomes for the customers it serves.”

Gareth Richardson, chief executive at Finova, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Mark to the Board at such an important and exciting point in Finova’s evolution.

“As we build on our market position and accelerate our next-generation technology strategy, his extensive experience across mortgages, banking and financial services, combined with his track record of leading organisations through significant transformation, will be invaluable as we shape Finova’s next chapter.”
