e4 Strategic becomes UK Finance associate member as VERSA rollout gathers pace

Published on

PropTech firm e4 Strategic has joined UK Finance as an associate member, signalling its intent to play a more active role in policy and digital reform across the mortgage and conveyancing market.

The business said the move underlines its commitment to working more closely with lenders and other stakeholders as it expands the UK rollout of its VERSA platform.

The appointment follows the recent arrival of Jackie Bennett OBE as non-executive director, bringing an experienced industry figure onto the board as the company builds its presence in the UK.

e4 Strategic said VERSA has been developed in the UK over the past four years in collaboration with mortgage lenders and conveyancing specialists. The platform draws on more than two decades of experience delivering similar technology to South Africa’s largest mortgage lenders and conveyancers.

UK Finance represents more than 300 firms across banking and financial services and plays a central role in shaping policy, standards and cross-industry collaboration. As an associate member, e4 Strategic will contribute to discussions around digital infrastructure, risk management and improvements to the homebuying process.

Simon Slater (pictured), chief executive of e4 Strategic, said: “Joining UK Finance is an important milestone as we continue to establish VERSA in the UK market.

“Over the past few years, we have worked closely with lenders and conveyancers to understand how we can help with the offer to completion journey.

“The feedback has been clear, with manual processes, limited visibility and silo-ed systems being some of the main challenges to solve.

“Being part of UK Finance enables us to engage directly with those shaping the future of the mortgage market and to support wider industry priorities around transparency, efficiency and better consumer outcomes.

“If we are to reduce transaction times and manage risk more effectively, the industry must work together. UK Finance provides an excellent forum for those discussions, and we look forward to playing an active role.”

Jason Cole, associate membership & strategic partnerships at UK Finance, added: “We are delighted that e4 Strategic UK has joined UK Finance as an associate member.

“We particularly look forward to exploring and sharing their mortgage knowledge and working closely with them and our wider membership in 2026.”
