CHL Mortgages launches limited edition buy-to-let range and eases criteria

Published on

CHL Mortgages has launched a limited edition buy-to-let range alongside a series of criteria changes, including the acceptance of first-time buyers.

The specialist lender’s new limited edition range includes two-year and five-year fixed-rate products for single dwelling properties, HMOs and multi-unit freehold blocks with up to six bedrooms or units.

Rates start from 3.60%, with products available to individual and limited company landlords at up to 80% LTV and with a choice of product fee options.

CHL Mortgages has also made a number of changes to its lending criteria. Applications are now accepted from first-time buyers, while the minimum income requirement has been removed for applicants who are not first-time buyers.

The lender has also reduced its minimum property valuation requirements and increased the maximum number of storeys it will consider in blocks of flats, including ex-local authority blocks, to 20.

Roger Morris, group distribution director for CHL Mortgages, said: “We’re committed to helping landlords achieve their property goals and these criteria enhancements do just that.

“And when you add the new limited edition range, with support for both standard and specialist properties, we’re delivering the flexibility and choice that today’s investors demand.”
