Butterfield Mortgages appoints senior relationship manager

Butterfield Mortgages has appointed Tom Blackmore as its new senior relationship manager, strengthening the London-based lender’s focus on high-net-worth clients with complex borrowing needs.

Blackmore (pictured) brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services. He spent the past eight years at Arbuthnot Latham, where he specialised in structuring complex lending solutions for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

In his new role, he will oversee relationship management across Butterfield Mortgages’ existing client base and work to enhance the service experience for both current and future borrowers with sophisticated lending requirements.

He will also sit on the executive committee and collaborate closely with Wendy Scott, senior business development manager, who leads broker relationships and business development.

Blackmore said: “Butterfield Mortgages has a clear appetite to lend and support clients with sophisticated financial needs and structures.

“I’m eager to contribute to its continued success and reputation for delivering tailored mortgage and lending solutions to meet the complex needs of HNW individuals.”

Alpa Bhakta, chief executive of Butterfield Mortgages, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Tom to Butterfield Mortgages.

“Providing an outstanding client-centric experience is a key part of what we offer, and Tom will add significant value to our relationship management team.

“His background in private banking makes him an ideal fit as we continue to support brokers and borrowers who are navigating a complex investment landscape. It’s great to have him on board.”
