BetterHome Group UK has appointed former Connells Group executive Anthony Glasgow as chief operating officer as it develops its operations in the UK.

Glasgow (pictured) joins permanently after previously working with BetterHome Group UK as a consultant, during which time he worked with teams across the business and supported its development.

He has more than 20 years’ leadership experience in residential property and financial services and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

His previous roles include chief operating officer for estate agency and chief information officer at Connells Group.

BetterHome Group UK, formerly known as Josewin Limited, is the UK business of BetterHomeGroup. Its portfolio includes HLPartnership and MSS, which owns Stonebridge Mortgage & Protection Network.

OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REMIT

At BetterHome Group UK, Glasgow will have responsibility across operations, technology, commercial priorities and organisational development. The group said the appointment was intended to strengthen its operating infrastructure as it expands its UK presence.

Rudi Botha, group chief executive of BetterHome Group, said: “Anthony has already made a valuable contribution to BetterHome Group UK during his time working with us as a consultant.

“He has the ability to understand a complex business quickly, identify what really matters and bring together people, operations, technology and commercial thinking in a highly practical way.

“As we continue to build BetterHome Group UK, having the right leadership and operational foundations in place will be critical.

“Anthony brings significant experience from across the UK property and financial services sectors, and I am delighted that he is joining us permanently as chief operating officer.”

Glasgow said: “I’m genuinely excited to be joining BetterHome Group UK as chief operating officer and to be working closely with Rudi and the wider team as we continue to build the Group’s presence in the UK.

“What really appealed to me was the ambition to make the home and mortgage journey a dream experience for customers, partners and our people.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the business, helping to create strong foundations for growth and being part of something with real energy and purpose.”
