Afin Bank joins Mortgage Advice Bureau lender panel

Published on

Afin Bank has joined Mortgage Advice Bureau’s lender panel, giving its advisers access to the specialist lender’s residential and buy-to-let mortgage range.

The bank provides mortgages for borrowers whose circumstances may not meet the affordability criteria used by mainstream lenders.

Its target customers include self-employed people and contract workers, borrowers with complex incomes, qualified professionals seeking higher loan-to-income borrowing, high-net-worth individuals and foreign nationals holding UK work visas.

Afin Bank individually underwrites each mortgage and considers applications from first-time buyers, home movers and borrowers seeking to remortgage.

John Smith, head of bridging at Afin Bank, said: “It can be tough for borrowers to get a mortgage if their situation is a bit different, perhaps because of their job or income.

“Good advice is important in these cases, which is why we’re delighted to be working with Mortgage Advice Bureau, who share Afin’s passion in helping more people get the mortgage they deserve.

“Afin assesses each borrower’s financial situation and individually underwrites every mortgage, so whether it’s a first-time buyer, a mover, or someone looking to remortgage to a new deal, we look forward to supporting MAB’s advisers as they help their clients get the right mortgage.”

Rachel Geddes, strategic lender relationships director at Mortgage Advice Bureau, added: “At MAB, we’re committed to helping our customers say yes to more, and Afin joining our lender panel is another way we’re delivering on that promise.

“Afin’s proposition gives our advisers greater flexibility to find the right solution for a wider range of borrower circumstances, helping more customers access the mortgage that’s right for them.

“We’re delighted to welcome Afin to our panel, and look forward to working together to help even more customers find the right mortgage solution.”
