Twenty7tec hires Nick Wakeham to lead data sales push

Published on

Twenty7tec has appointed Nick Wakeham as head of data sales as it looks to widen the reach of its INSIGHT Pro offering and deepen its use of market intelligence across the mortgage sector.

Wakeham (pictured) joins with responsibility for the commercial strategy behind the firm’s data and analytics proposition, including INSIGHT Pro, as Twenty7tec seeks to strengthen its appeal to lenders and product providers looking for more detailed market intelligence.

The business said his remit will include working with partners to draw more value from its datasets, while helping firms assess market dynamics, adviser behaviour and distribution opportunities.

He will also work with product and commercial teams across the business to embed data-led tools more widely within the Twenty7tec platform.

Wakeham brings nearly 20 years’ experience in financial services. He began his career in business-to-business media sales, where he worked on cross-platform campaigns for providers targeting advisers.

More recently, he held senior roles at ISS Market Intelligence, where he led sales and account management across its MarketPro and MarketPulse products in the UK.

Those roles involved working with firms on market penetration analysis and distribution strategy, experience that Twenty7tec appears to believe will support the next stage of growth for its data products.

Wakeham said: “I’m excited to be joining Twenty7tec at a time when we are undertaking huge enhancements to our already market-leading intelligence products.

“I was inspired by the vision and expertise that James, Kate, and the rest of the team showed me and I’m really looking forward to being a member of such an innovative organisation.

“I’m not sure about the lunchtime running club just yet, but what I’ve seen and who I’ve met in my first week, tell me that this is going to be a thoroughly enjoyable place to work whilst delivering some seriously great solutions to clients.”

Kate Buckley, chief revenue officer at Twenty7tec, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Nick to the team.

“He brings a wealth of experience and will lead our go-to-market vision for the Insight product suite, working closely with partners to deliver real value across the market.”
