The Property Franchise Group (TPFG) increased financial services revenue by 10% to £13m during the first half of 2026 following its acquisition of Smart Advice Financial Solutions (SAFS).
In a half year trading update this morning it said revenue from the division stood at £11.8m during the corresponding period last year.
On a like-for-like basis excluding SAFS, financial services revenue fell by 3%, principally reflecting the managed departure of three business partner hubs at the end of 2025.
TPFG said underlying revenue increased by 6% when the contribution from those departing hubs was removed from the prior-year comparison.
SAFS INTEGRATION
SAFS has performed in line with the board’s expectations since being acquired by TPFG in January.
The Group said the business had integrated successfully and strengthened the scale and capabilities of its financial services operation.
TPFG continues to increase the proportion of divisional revenue generated by employed and self-employed advisers as it seeks to improve the quality and sustainability of earnings.
The Group has also invested in Meridian, parent company of Legal & General Surveying Services, extending its activities into residential surveying and creating further opportunities across the property transaction process.
RECORD GROUP REVENUE
Overall Group revenue increased by 7% to a record £43.3m, compared with £40.3m during the first half of 2025. Like-for-like growth was 4%.
Franchising revenue rose by 8% to £24m, while licensing revenue remained unchanged at £6.3m.
Net debt reduced from £10.9m to £8.2m.
TPFG’s network completed more than 15,500 property sales during the period, down 4% and in line with the wider market. Sales management service fees nevertheless increased by 1% to £5m because of higher average transaction fees.
The Group’s managed lettings portfolio remained stable at 149,000 properties, with its Privilege rent guarantee programme now covering more than 72,000 homes.
MARKET REMAINS CHALLENGING
TPFG expects full-year trading to remain in line with market expectations despite subdued consumer confidence, interest-rate uncertainty and geopolitical pressures.
Gareth Samples (main picture, inset), CEO at The Property Franchise Group, said: “I’m pleased we have delivered another robust performance, achieving a record first half despite a more subdued sales market.
“The additions of SAFS and Meridian, together with the rollout of our first AI-enabled products, further strengthen our platform.
“Whilst the external environment remains uncertain, our diversified income streams and growing recurring revenue base give us confidence in delivering our plans for the full year.”
