Together bolsters North East presence with senior corporate sales hire

Together has appointed an experienced property finance professional as corporate sales director in the North East.

Helen Calderley (pictured), who brings more than two decades of experience across banking and property finance, has joined the lender in a senior role focused on driving growth and strengthening relationships across the region.

Based in the North East, Calderley will be responsible for promoting Together’s specialist lending products and expanding its presence among clients and professional introducers. The lender, headquartered in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, has a loan book of £8.1 billion.

She joins from Cambridge & Counties Bank, where she worked as a business development manager in real estate, covering the North East. In that role, she supported a broad client base including corporate borrowers, buy-to-let holiday let investors and more specialist cases.

Her previous roles include senior relationship manager at Assetz Capital, focusing on development finance, and business development manager at Yorkshire Bank. Earlier in her career, she held positions at Barclays and RBS, specialising in real estate finance.

Calderley said: “I was the first person responsible for growing Cambridge & Counties presence in the North East and am looking forward to expanding Together’s offering on a greater scale with a wide product set and the backing of a forward-thinking company, to provide the finance needed to unlock clients’ property ambitions.

“I’m relishing the new challenge at Together, to spread the message about how our lending can help existing and new customers access opportunities across the North East.

“I know the business well having worked for competitors, and have seen how it puts people at its heart – I already feel part of the family.”

Together’s corporate team provides funding including bridging loans, semi-commercial and commercial mortgages, typically ranging from £1 million to £20 million. These facilities are commonly used for property acquisition, refinancing or releasing equity to support business growth.

Calderley will report to Mark Eastwood, director of corporate sales at Together.

Eastwood said: “Helen will be of huge benefit to Together as we continue to grow our corporate team and business opportunities across the UK.

“She has a wealth of expertise and experience in banking and property lending and has the determination to drive our regional expansion at an exciting time in our business’s growth.”
