The Melton adds to broker team with new hire and internal promotion

Melton Building Society has expanded its broker sales team with the appointment of Heidi Lang as business development manager and the promotion of Sydney Dickens-Smith to broker sales team manager.

The society said the changes took effect on Monday 13 April as it looks to strengthen support for intermediary partners.

Lang (pictured, left) joins from Nottingham Building Society, bringing almost two decades of experience in the mutual sector and intermediary relationship management.

Melton said she will support and develop partnerships across its broker network as the lender continues to build its intermediary proposition.

The appointment comes alongside an internal promotion for Dickens-Smith (pictured, right), who moves from senior mortgage processor to broker sales team manager.

In the role, Dickens-Smith will oversee the operations and development of the broker sales function, working with Lang and the wider team on the broker experience and intermediary relationships.

Lang said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Melton Building Society and becoming part of such a dedicated team.

“Building strong, trusted relationships with brokers has always been at the heart of what I do, and I’m excited to get started and make a positive impact.”

Dan Atkinson, head of distribution, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Heidi to the team.

“Her experience in the industry and energy she will bring to the role will be invaluable as we continue to seek ways to enhance our proposition and relationships with brokers in our network.

“At the same time, it’s fantastic to see internal progression within the Society.

“Sydney’s promotion is thoroughly deserved and reflects the strength and capability of our people.”
