Syscap appoints new exec chairman

Independent finance provider Syscap has appointed John Allbrook, the former CEO of AIM listed GoIndustry – DoveBid plc, as its executive chairman.

John Allbrook, who spent five years at GoIndustry, oversaw its transformation into a key online provider of asset sales and services. He led the company through its successful listing on AIM and the subsequent acquisition of its largest international competitor, DoveBid, for $27 million plus shares in January 2008.

Before joining GoIndustry Allbrook spent most of his career within the leasing industry, including nine years in various senior leadership positions at GE Capital, where he was instrumental in securing GE’s global program with Sun Microsystems and subsequently became the managing director EMEA of Sun Microsystems Finance.
