Skipton Intermediaries reveals its IRM of the year

Simon Tipton, who looks after the central region for Skipton Intermediaries, has been named the IRM of the Year at Skipton Building Society’s annual Star Awards ceremony.

Although Tipton (pictured) has only been an IRM for one year with Skipton Intermediaries, he was nominated for the award for not only delivering on his commercial targets, but for demonstrating role model behaviours.

Tipton said: “I am delighted to have won the IRM of the Year award and I feel a real sense of achievement. It’s been a very successful 12 months, both for me and Skipton Intermediaries, and I’m really looking forward to taking on more challenges throughout 2016.”

Paul Darwin, head of Skipton Intermediaries, said:  “Simon’s a true professional who has worked for Skipton Building Society for a number of years but has achieved IRM of the year in his first year in the role.

“Simon has not only added value to the brokers business, but has supported his colleagues by sharing best practice.  He was proactive in instigating training workshops with the Intermediary support team, whilst building great relationships with brokers and colleagues. This award is very well deserved.”
