Santander UK is to create over 400 jobs in a number of its UK call centres. This is in addition to the 600 branch-based roles it announced in July.

The new roles are to be in Liverpool, Glasgow and Leicester and are required to meet growth in the business as well as to improve its service.

Santander expects to have the 1,000 roles filled by the first quarter next year.
