Saffron and Co-op partner for later-life planning

Published on

Customers of the Saffron Building Society will now be able to access later-life planning services provided by Co-op.

The partnership will give Saffron members access to a range of Co-op’s services including bereavement support, probate, wills and Lasting Power of Attorney.

Members will be able to access the advice through one of the Saffron Building Society’s 11 branches across the East of England. The service will primarily offer face to face meetings with Co-op advisers who will meet customers in a Saffron Building Society branch or visit customers at home.

Simon Taylor, chief commercial officer at the Saffron Building Society, said: “We are delighted to introduce our customers to the later-life planning services offered by Co-op. We see this as an opportunity to broaden our product range through a well-known, trusted adviser.

“This latest offering is an important addition to ensure our customers can tap into a wide breadth of financial services – locally.”

Jonathan Appleby, head of corporate partnerships at Co-op Life Planning & Legal Services, added: “We are really pleased to be working with Saffron Building Society, giving their customers access to our award winning services.

“There are huge synergies between both of our organisations in terms of our ethics, values and our mutual status and this gives us a fantastic platform for a strategic partnership. We are particularly pleased that Saffron has chosen Co-op as its partner in the year where they are celebrating their 170th birthday.”
