Plannr integrates Mortgage Brain tools into adviser workflow

Published:

Plannr has partnered with Mortgage Brain to connect mortgage sourcing and lender submissions with its client and case-management platform.

The integration will give advisers access to Mortgage Brain’s sourcing, criteria and affordability technology from within Plannr, with application data also set to flow directly to participating lenders.

The first phase connects Sourcing Brain to client records held in Plannr. Advisers will be able to launch the sourcing system from a client’s record, carry out product research and return the selected mortgage and supporting documentation to Plannr.

The chosen product can then be linked to the relevant case and used to create a proposed mortgage plan, reducing the need to move information manually between separate systems.

SUBMISSIONS TO FOLLOW

The partnership covers the latest versions of Mortgage Brain’s Sourcing Brain, Criteria Brain and Affordability Brain APIs, as well as its Submissions Brain technology.

Submissions Brain will allow case information held in Plannr to be transferred into the systems of participating UK banks and building societies. The companies said this should reduce duplicate data entry during the application process and lower the risk of errors.

Gareth Thompson, chief technology officer at Plannr, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our partnership with Mortgage Brain. It’s one that our firms have been asking for, and it’s a great example of what we mean when we talk about Plannr being the operating system for financial planners.

“With Sourcing Brain connected directly to the client record, the research happens where the adviser already works, and everything that comes out of it lands back in Plannr automatically. No re-keying, no downloading and re-uploading, just a cleaner process and a complete client file.

“Mortgage Brain has been a brilliant partner in getting phase one live, and we’re excited about what comes next.”

Neil Wyatt, chief commercial officer at Mortgage Brain, added: “We’re delighted to be working with the team at Plannr. We believe partnerships are the best way to deliver meaningful solutions that achieve the best possible outcomes for end users.

“Integrating Sourcing Brain, Criteria Brain, Affordability Brain and Submissions Brain into Plannr means advisers can move from research to application in one place.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the opportunities that develop for both businesses and, most importantly, for Plannr’s users.”

CONNECTED ADVICE TECHNOLOGY

The deal forms part of Plannr’s approach of using APIs to connect specialist advice technology around a central client record.

Its platform is intended to act as an operating layer between different systems used by advice firms, with client information and workflows passing between specialist providers rather than advisers having to manage separate records in each system.

The Mortgage Brain partnership extends that model into mortgage advice, linking Plannr’s client, workflow and case-management functions with mortgage research and lender submission technology.
