Paradigm to host next Power of 8 webinar series

Paradigm Mortgage Services has announced it will be hosting a Power of 8 webinar on the rapidly changing mortgage landscape.

The Power of 8 is a collaboration of specialist lenders and mutual building societies working together to share industry knowledge and expertise with mortgage advisers.

Paradigm’s own mortgage helpdesk will also feature as part of the webinar, giving attendees a short presentation where they will share insights into the service the helpdesk provides and the time-saving support available to directly authorised intermediaries.

The webinar – taking place on the 2nd of November – will delve into a range of mortgage topics most frequently raised by advisers to its mortgage helpdesk.

Topics covered will include adverse credit, retirement age, self-employed, foreign nationals, second job income, property enquiries, regulated buy-to-let, lending limits, interest-only and affordability.

Accord Mortgages, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, Hodge, Kensington Mortgages, Pepper Money, Mansfield Building Society, and the Principality Building Society will all be there to provide expert insight.

Richard Howes (pictured), director of mortgages at Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “Paradigm is very pleased to be hosting a webinar featuring a significant number of lender members who are all involved in the Power of 8 collective.

“We’ve collated a range of frequently-asked questions to our helpdesk on a range of topics and we’ll be using the webinar to secure insight from those lenders on how they might address them. This is all about providing advisers with up to date information on how lenders are addressing key areas. Something which is particularly relevant in a market which is seeing considerable change in a very short space of time.

“We hope to see many advisers joining us for the webinar on the 2nd November.”

James Enos, national account manager – south at Hodge, added: “On behalf of Power of 8, we’re delighted to be collaborating with Paradigm and its members. With so many changes to the market happening on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis, we’re working together, sharing solutions to complex enquiries that the adviser community are searching for. This can only serve to benefit advisers and help them navigate their way through a tricky time, in turn helping their clients to do the same.

“Since 2019 the Power of 8 community has been aligned in bringing educational face-to-face and virtual events to intermediaries, we’re committed to helping advisers help their clients, whatever their wants and needs.”
