Openwork reveals its largest mortgage AR

Openwork has announced that Just Mortgages Direct has now officially transitioned to the network, becoming its largest mortgage-focused Appointed Representative (AR) firm.

Just Mortgages, the financial advisory business of Spicerhaart, joined Openwork from Legal & General at the end of March.

Since the end of March, Just Mortgages has submitted in excess of 1,000 cases and is already on a run-rate to deliver in excess of £1bn in mortgage lending annually.

Antony Lark, managing director of Just Mortgages, said: “Transitioning a large number of advisers to a new network in such a short period of time was always going to be a massive challenge, but it has gone exceptionally smoothly. A total of 150 advisers, supervisors and managers have been through an intensive face-to-face training covering proposition, sales process and technology.

“Openwork’s trainers provided superb preparation, leaving advisers with the necessary skills to hit the ground running. As a result, in a matter of just a few weeks, production is already at higher run-rate than prior to the transition.”

Paul Shearman, mortgage proposition director at Openwork, added: “Just Mortgages is a leading firm in the market and we are thrilled its transition to Openwork has been so smooth and successful. We have ambitious plans for our mortgage proposition this year and the addition of such a well-run firm with high quality advisers gives us a fantastic platform for future growth.”
