Marsden Building Society has surpassed £100m in mortgage completions in Guernsey through its partnership with SPF Private Clients.
The milestone covers lending completed since Marsden entered the Guernsey mortgage market in 2018.
Island residents can access the society’s residential, retirement, expat residential and expat buy-to-let mortgage ranges through SPF Private Clients.
Marsden is currently the only lender in Guernsey offering mortgage solutions in retirement, while interest-only options are available across most of its mortgage portfolio.
FLEXIBLE UNDERWRITING
The partnership has supported borrowers with a wide range of circumstances, from pensioners requiring relatively modest loans to high-net-worth clients seeking finance of around £2m.
Marsden said its approach allowed mortgage applications to be considered according to borrowers’ individual circumstances rather than relying solely on standardised lending criteria.
Jo Cave (main picture, left), head of mortgages at Marsden Building Society, said: “Reaching £100m in lending is a significant milestone for both the Marsden and our partnership with SPF Private Clients.
“It reflects our shared commitment to broadening mortgage options for borrowers on the island, as we understand that everyone’s circumstances are different.
“From supporting growing families to those planning for retirement, offering flexible lending solutions remains a key focus for us. We look forward to continuing to support Guernsey residents and building on this success in the years ahead.”
BESPOKE MORTGAGE NEEDS
Pierre Blampied (main picture, right), managing director at SPF Private Clients, added: “We’re delighted with the value that Marsden Building Society has brought to the mortgage market in Guernsey.
“The propositions can be bespoke and tailored to borrowers’ personal circumstances. The variety of mortgages has ranged from a pensioner requiring a small mortgage of £50,000 to a high-net-worth individual requiring in the region of £2m.
“We continue to work with the team to be innovative and offer new products.”
