Nivo targets broker paperwork burden with AI webinar

Published on

Nivo is to hold a free webinar for mortgage brokers on where firms should begin when considering the use of artificial intelligence.

The 45-minute online session, titled Where firms should start when planning an AI implementation, will take place on Wednesday 5 August at 2:00pm.

Nivo said the event would examine how brokers can identify suitable processes for automation, assess where AI could add value and avoid common implementation mistakes.

The company’s research has identified document collection as a persistent constraint on broker productivity. Gathering paperwork, checking whether files are complete and pursuing missing documents can delay cases between application and submission.

Attendees will see a live demonstration of Nivo Collect, the company’s ready-made AI case assistant. Brokers email the service with the information they hold about a client, after which it gathers the required documents, checks the evidence, chases missing information and returns a submission-ready pack with a case report.

Nivo said the service required no installation or integration project and had reduced administration by about five hours for each case among firms already using it.

The demonstration will follow a mortgage case from the initial email to the return of the completed pack, without manual intervention. The session will conclude with a live audience question-and-answer session, with further webinar dates due to be announced in the coming weeks.

Matthew Elliott, co-founder and chief commercial officer at Nivo, said: “Most brokers have been told they ought to be doing something with AI. Very few have been told where to begin.

“Our answer is to start where the work is most repetitive and the cost is easiest to measure, and for almost every firm that means document collection. Chasing paperwork doesn’t win business and it doesn’t improve advice – it just delays cases.

“That’s the part worth handing over first.”

Elliott said: “With Nivo Collect we’ve taken one of the biggest administrative burdens in mortgage broking and turned it into an off-the-shelf service that firms can switch on in hours. Your brokerage gets its own AI assistant, working in your brand, over the email process you already use.

“It gathers documents, checks them, chases what’s missing and hands back a packaged case that’s ready for submission. It’s a quick and easy way of realising the immediate benefits of AI within your business.”
