Newcastle expands broker mortgage range with higher-LTV deals

Newcastle for Intermediaries has expanded its mortgage range with the return of higher loan-to-value residential products and new options for self-employed borrowers.

The lender has relaunched its standard residential mortgages at 90% loan-to-value (LTV) and extended its Enhanced Plus range to include products at 65% LTV.

Fee-assisted interest-only mortgages have also returned, while rates have been reduced on selected one-year products for self-employed borrowers.

Newcastle has expanded its joint mortgage sole proprietor (JMSP) range to include mortgages at 80% and 90% LTV. These arrangements can help borrowers use a family member’s income to support an application without adding that person to the property’s title.

The building society has also relaunched its five-year new-build mortgage range, including products available at up to 95% LTV.

The changes are intended to broaden the lender’s offering for first-time buyers, self-employed applicants and families using JMSP arrangements.

Francesco di Pietro (pictured), head of intermediary mortgages at Newcastle Building Society, said: “We’re continually reviewing our intermediary proposition to ensure we’re providing brokers with the products and flexibility they need to support their clients in an evolving market.

“These latest enhancements provide greater choice across a range of borrowing scenarios, while reinforcing our ambition to be a trusted, relationship-led lending partner to intermediaries across the UK.”
