Lendlord has added a Property Register tool to its Compliance Hub to help landlords in England prepare for the government’s new rental property database.
The property management and finance platform has developed the feature to help landlords organise the information required for registration and manage their obligations once their properties have been entered onto the database.
The tool draws on information already held within a landlord’s property portfolio to compile a registration pack, identifying missing details and highlighting registration deadlines across different regions.
Landlords must still complete the registration process through the government’s own service, using the information assembled by Lendlord.
The new feature also provides ongoing compliance support, including registration notifications, deadline tracking and renewal reminders across multiple properties.
It can identify changes to property or tenancy information that may require landlords to update their registration details, helping them maintain accurate records as their portfolios evolve.
The launch is intended to reduce the administrative work associated with the new database, particularly for landlords managing multiple properties and registration requirements.
Aviram Shahar (pictured), co-founder and chief executive of Lendlord, said: “Preparing for the new database should not mean starting from scratch. Landlords already hold much of the information they need, and our Property Register tool brings it together to make preparation simpler.
“Registration is only the first step. Landlords also need to keep their records up to date as circumstances change.
“The tool manages deadlines, notifications and renewal reminders, and alerts landlords when changes mean they need to update the register. It makes these ongoing responsibilities a manageable part of running a property portfolio.”
