United Trust Bank (UTB), specialist AI solutions provider Optalitix and Landbay are to feature in the inaugural TIP-Talks innovation webinar being held tomorrow (10 December).

UTB and Optalitix are sponsoring and hosting a series of webinars called The Innovation Pipeline (TIP)-Talks looking at future innovation and technology advancements in the financial services arena.

The first TIP Talks webinar is being held at 3pm on 10 December and asks the question “Does auto decisioning remove the personal touch?” The first webinar panel will consist of United Trust Bank’s Buster Tolfree, Optalitix’s Jonathan Shapiro and Paul Brett, managing director of Landbay.

The panel will discuss the impact of AI and auto decisioning on the customer relationship and will be relevant for anyone in the financial services and technology industries.

The hour-long online session is free to join and will examine the real cost of auto decisioning, customer benefits and strategies for retaining personal customer relationships. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session from the expert panel.

Future TIP Talks are already scheduled with topics including the power of data and demystifying APIs scheduled to appear in early 2021.

Buster Tolfree, commercial director – mortgages, United Trust Bank, said: “Technology has transformed the way much of the financial services sector now operates, and the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the development and implementation of FinTech across lenders, brokers and other property professionals. However, although great strides have been taken in 2020, we’re really only scratching the surface of what’s coming down the techpipe in the next few years.

“This is an exciting time for anyone working in financial services and has an interest in AI and the digitisation of the sector. I’m delighted Paul Brett from Landbay is joining us and I’m sure I’ll learn as much from him and FinTech guru Jonathan as those who turn up and take part on the day!”

Jonathan Shapiro, founder of Optalitix, added: “UTB have become one of the specialist lending sector’s digital leaders and its really great to see the growing enthusiasm for all things FinTech as we move into 2021. I’m really looking forward to being involved in TIP-Talks, sharing knowledge, debunking some AI myths and building a useful resource library for anyone interested in technology in the financial services industry.”
