Increase in transactional activity in September

The number of transactions in September increased by 3.4% in the month, up 11.5% compared to last September, according to the latest LSL Property Services/Acadametrics House Price Index.

It found that average house prices registered a 0.2% increase in September, meaning that over the last six months, house prices have registered 1.0% growth.

Year on year house price growth slowed to 7.0%, and is expected to slow further as increases in 2010 fail to match those of a year ago.
