Protection research platform CIExpert has entered into a strategic partnership with Succession Wealth aimed at strengthening protection advice across the national financial planning firm.
The agreement will give advisers across Succession Wealth access to CIExpert’s full suite of protection analysis tools, policy comparison services and educational resources.
The rollout covers wealth planners, mortgage advisers, protection specialists and chartered financial planners across the business, with the partnership designed to support more consistent and integrated protection conversations within wider financial planning advice.
PROTECTION RESEARCH
A major element of the partnership is CIExpert’s integration with Iress The Exchange, the core sourcing platform used by Succession Wealth advisers.
The integration allows advisers to access CIExpert’s protection research and analysis tools directly within their existing workflow, removing the need to switch systems during the advice process.
CIExpert said the integration combines real-time client data with detailed policy analysis and comparison capabilities, helping advisers deliver more auditable and personalised protection recommendations.
The move comes as advisers continue to face growing complexity across the protection market, particularly within critical illness cover where providers now collectively offer more than 136 listed conditions.
Succession Wealth currently oversees around £9.2bn in assets under advice and supports more than 19,000 clients nationwide through a network of over 190 wealth planners.
HOLISTIC PLANNING
Andy Harris, director of propositions at Succession Wealth, said: “Protection can often feel disconnected from broader financial planning conversations, particularly in a market that has become increasingly complex for advisers and clients alike.
“This partnership helps bring those conversations closer together by embedding CIExpert’s insight directly into adviser workflows, making it easier for our planners to access consistent, high-quality protection research as part of holistic financial planning.”

Paul Roberts, propositions and distribution director at CIExpert, said the partnership represented “a significant milestone” for the business.
He added: “The integration with The Exchange is particularly powerful as it embeds our insight directly into the adviser journey.
“We’re excited to collaborate on new approaches to advice, drive innovation, and help advisers identify more meaningful protection opportunities that deliver real value to their clients.”
