Thomas, who hails from the US, has spent the last 12 years in UK financial service sector most recently as head of mortgage underwriting at the Saffron Building Society.

He said: “Plans are moving at a pace at Capital Bridging and I am very pleased that I have joined a team that will be making a big impact in the market in the coming years.

Keith Aldridge, managing director at Capital Bridging, added: “This is another indication of our commitment to growth in 2014. It is a new role we have been seeking to fill for some time and we are pleased that our ambitious plans have attracted somebody of Tom’s calibre.
