Brilliant Solutions was on cue at Rileys as 70 players and several late arrivals chalked up an afternoon of pool, networking and fundraising.
The firm’s latest pool tournament, held last week, appears to have sunk every previous contender, drawing its largest crowd yet and delivering what organisers described as the perfect chaos.
The decision to upgrade the venue proved to be anything but a long shot. It did, however, leave organiser Ivan Vizor racing between tables for much of the day and with precious little time to mingle.
Vizor has already devised a solution for next year: Michael Craig will be handed that particular cue.
The event also racked up more than £1,200 for the Cotswold Down Syndrome Group, a charity close to Vizor’s heart. The money was raised in memory of his niece, Daniella, with organisers now hoping to push the total nearer to £2,000.

Ian Hewett kept the fundraising rolling by auctioning two tickets to a Steve Bruce dinner, with Simon Munday pocketing the prize after making the winning bid.
