Bluestone Mortgages has announced the appointment of Chris Lamming as senior business development manager (SBDM).

Lamming (pictured) will be based in Bluestone Mortgages’ new Sheffield based office, where he will cover the North West & Yorkshire area of the UK alongside Jimmy Govan, the key account manager for the same area.

He joins from Santander and brings with him over 10 years of financial services experience.

In addition to his responsibilities as SBDM, he will also head up Bluestone’s new broker support team which will also be based in Sheffield.

Reece Beddall, head of business development at Bluestone Mortgages, said: “We are very excited to welcome Chris to the team, especially as we are undergoing several enhancements to our business development team. Having been based at Santander for the best part of a decade, Chris’ skills, expertise and connections will be valuable to Bluestone’s ongoing development plans, particularly as we look to establish our dedicated broker support team.

“With demand for our proposition increasing, key hires will ensure our quality of service remains high to cater for this demand – all the while ensuring that those who are underserved by high street lenders can realise their homeownership goals.”
