Blemain Group has appointed Paul Mansell as business development manager (BDM) for Scotland and the North East.

The lender hopes his appointment will help to grow future lending and strengthen relationships with brokers.

Mansell has over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry, working for brands including Marsh, UCB Home Loans and Legal & General.

He has worked in debt recovery, customer services and sales, as well as having a stint as a self-employed mortgage broker for four years, giving him an excellent understanding of the lending industry.

Nicholas Jones, national sales manager at Blemain Group, said: “Paul’s breadth of experience in the sector will be a great asset to the team in Scotland and the North East, and will help us to continue providing a useful resource for brokers to help build up their business offering.

“There is a growing demand from brokers in this area who are looking to develop their product offering for their clients, and the lending companies within Blemain Group can make speedy decisions to provide them with a range of funding options.”

Mansell added: “Blemain Group has been an established lender in Scotland for almost 40 years and over that time has developed a strong reputation in the market place, something I’m proud to be continuing.

“I have built up a strong broker network over the past 16 years, helping them to build up their businesses, and I look forward to developing new relationships across Scotland through Blemain Group’s extensive chain of brokers.”
