ASA bans misleading property ad

Published on

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned an advert which appeared to come from an individual looking to buy a house.

A circular, which looked like a hand written note, stated “My partner and I are looking to buy a house or flat in the area and willing to pay market value for the right property. I am a private buyer and not an estate agent! If you’re interested in selling please give me a call on 0208 XXX XXXX. Thanks Kate””.
