APFA reveals new member

The Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) has announced that professional adviser network Personal Touch Financial Services has become a member of the organisation.

It has also gained representation on the APFA’s policy consultation group.

Chris Hannant, director general of the APFA, said: “We are delighted to have Personal Touch joining us as a member. They do so at an interesting time for the profession, with financial advisers adapting to changes on a number of fronts – not least the pension freedoms almost upon us.

“Alongside regulatory demands and the prospect of a change of government in May, it’s more important than ever for professional financial advice to speak with one voice.”

Simon Hewitt, senior wealth manager at Personal Touch, added: “We’re looking forward to working with Chris and the APFA team to help shape the profession in the years to come.

“It’s an exciting time for our wealth advisers and APFA plays an important role supporting the profession and championing advisers’ interests – we’re pleased to be a part of that.”
