Access Financial Services has appointed Alan Baldwin as director of compliance as it expands its national network of mortgage and protection advisers.
Baldwin (pictured) has worked in the broker and lender sectors and previously held senior compliance positions at organisations including Connect Mortgages, where he supported advisers on customer outcomes and business growth.
The appointment comes as Access FS invests in technology and expands the support available to advisers across its mortgage and protection network.
Karl Wilkinson, founder and chief executive of Access FS, said: “As Access continues to grow, it’s important that we invest in experienced people who share our ambition and our values. Alan stood out not only because of his compliance knowledge, but because he understands what it takes to support advisers in the real world.
“Having worked on both the broker and lender sides of the industry, he brings a balanced perspective that will benefit both our advisers and the wider business. His vast experience has given him an excellent understanding of how to combine strong regulatory oversight with commercial thinking.
“Just as importantly, Alan is a fantastic cultural fit. We’ve built Access around helping advisers grow successful businesses, embracing innovation and creating an environment where people support one another.
“Alan shares that mindset and will help us drive the next phase of our growth, accelerate our plans and continue to transform the support we provide to advisers.”
Baldwin said: “I’m delighted to be joining Access FS at such an exciting point in its growth. The business has built an excellent reputation for supporting advisers and investing in the tools, training and people needed to help them succeed.
“What attracted me most was the culture. There is a genuine commitment to supporting advisers, encouraging collaboration and continually improving the proposition.
“I look forward to working with the team as the business continues to grow.”
Access FS said the appointment formed part of its investment in its adviser proposition as it recruits mortgage and protection advisers and develops the infrastructure needed for further growth.
