TMG Mortgage Network has added Handelsbanken to its lender panel, giving advisers access to the bank’s relationship-led mortgage proposition and UK branch network.
The agreement, effective from 3 August 2026, broadens the range of options available to TMG advisers working with borrowers whose circumstances may not meet conventional high street lending criteria.
Handelsbanken assesses mortgage applications individually rather than relying heavily on automated underwriting models.
Lending decisions are made locally, an approach intended to support customers with more complex circumstances.
Danny Belton, head of club & partner strategy at TMG Mortgage Network, said: “At TMG, we are constantly looking for ways to expand adviser choice and ensure our members have access to lenders that can support a diverse range of customer circumstances.
“Handelsbanken’s highly personalised approach to lending, combined with local decision-making and a genuine willingness to assess each case on its own merits, makes them a fantastic addition to our panel.
“We believe this partnership will add significant value for advisers working with self-employed clients, professionals, business owners and customers with more complex borrowing requirements.”
Steve MacDonald, national head of intermediary business at Handelsbanken, said: “We are delighted to be joining the TMG Mortgage Network lender panel and making our mortgage proposition available to TMG advisers.
“Our focus is on building long-term relationships and ensuring every client receives an individual assessment from experienced local decision-makers. We look forward to working closely with TMG advisers and supporting them in finding the right solutions for their clients.”
