The Right Mortgage appoints compliance manager

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has announced the appointment of a new compliance manager.

Joanne Measures starts the role with immediate effect and will report to Matt Hall, head of audit & supervision.

As part of her new role, Measures (pictured) will be working with member firms to ensure they are working compliantly and they are confident in the systems and processes they use with clients.

Measures joins The Right Mortgage with a raft of experience within financial services, including compliance roles across multiple businesses focused on the advice profession.

Her most recent compliance role was as a compliance officer for Believe Money Group, and Measures has also worked as a self-employed mortgage and protection adviser, and an adviser supervisor at Age Partnership.

The Right Mortgage member firms will be able to discuss a range of topics, including compliance, at two specific November sales roadshows. They are taking place in Wales on 14 November and in the Midlands on the 18 November.

Ben Allen, compliance director at The Right Mortgage, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Joanne as our newest compliance manager, especially considering the huge amount of experience she has, which has been developed in a significant number of roles within the financial services industry.

“It is rare to have someone who has worked within distribution businesses, who has been an adviser herself, and who understands our sector so fully, to be available for hire, but it’s very much to the benefit of all at The Right Mortgage, and our members, that she is now employed within the business.

“Compliance is clearly a key part of our proposition and we believe in Joanne, firms will find an excellent resource to draw upon, with a skill-set that is second to none.”

Measures added: “I am delighted to be joining a very friendly and helpful team of people here at The Right Mortgage, and looking forward to using all my experience and skills to help member firms meet their compliance needs and responsibilities.”
